Uganda

Coordinator: Minister Maate Yubu 

Project: WeRemnant JRaq Orphanage, Nursery and Primary School outside of the refugee camp in Muhokya   

Update: Greetings in JESUS’ Name. WeRemnant orphanage and the school have been doing well and there has been great change since it started; the children have grown up. The school is running successfully and the orphanage as well.

Accomplishments/Testimonies: Our key successes are improvement on feeding of children; improvement in academic performance of learners; and the improvement of the health of learners because we recorded few cases of sicknesses. We really appreciate you so much for your support. Many lives of Ugandans have changed through your support, particularly the orphans who are vulnerable; they can now smile and have a future.

Issues: We are facing the following issues. The school has no school toilet, and we need to construct a new one. We are experiencing classes that are too small to accommodate children, and also a lack of furniture such as desks, office chairs and tables.

Follow up: All the school activities are being followed up and supervised.

Next 90 Days: We expect to accomplish the following: construction of WeRemnant school toilet, purchasing and construction of WeRemnant school, and the renovation of WeRemnant school.

Malawi

Coordinator: Lois Grant 

Project: Nsalu Early Childhood Development (ECD)

Project Update: We are planning on growing tomatoes this month to sustain the program while the children are on summer holiday.

Issues: We are trusting the LORD for financial support from our donors, as we have been having challenges with feeding the toddlers adequately.

Next 90 Days: We are hoping to start a vegetable garden to help sustain some of the programs at the ECD.

Kenya

Coordinator: Bishop Caleb Wanjala 

Project: Building Church-Schools, Providing Electricity in Remote Villages, and Digging Sustainable Wells in Remote Villages and Refugee Camps 

Update: Greetings, this month we have started renovating our school buildings to accommodate more learners since we are moving to upper grades (i.e. grade 4 and 5).

Accomplishments/Testimonies: We were able to meet KNEC (Kenya National Examination Council) requirements which is a key milestone to our education system here. We received good commendations from the Education Officer which led to trust from parents and teachers towards the school.

Issues:  Due to the fall of the US dollar, we are encountering difficulties in running the schools.

Next 90 Days: We are looking forward to the renovations of our school walls and floors.

Namibia

Coordinator: Catherine Amo 

Project: JESUS Center Private School

Project Update: All students are currently on vacation.

Issues: We are praying for more learners to enroll. We need land for our school. The Council has not come back to us with a final decision. We are ready to buy any piece of land for the extension of our school.

Next 90 Days: We will be competing in the sports competition with local schools and then regional schools.
