In a region of India where caste-based discrimination remains a harsh reality, 29 Dalit children have found refuge and renewal at the WeRemnant Dalit Orphanage in Andhra Pradesh. Many of these children have been rescued from abusive homes and environments marked by neglect and hardship. Now, they are thriving, spiritually, emotionally, and academically, under the care of a loving, faith-filled community.
Daily life at the orphanage centers on prayer, education, and healing. Despite limited resources and persistent challenges, such as inadequate medical facilities and unreliable transportation, the children’s faith in JESUS remains unshaken. They gather for Bible studies, sing songs of worship, and support one another like family. Their joy is evident in their smiles and their growing confidence.
The orphanage is currently facing a critical need to relocate to a safer area with better access to healthcare and transportation. Additionally, there is a pressing need for sports kits and summer schooling resources to support the children’s holistic development.
